Volkswagen of America strengthens leadership in Sales, Marketing, and Brand Strategy

Reston, VA — Volkswagen of America today announced a key leadership appointment, with Brian Nash joining as Executive Vice President (EVP) of Sales and Marketing, and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of Volkswagen North American Region. Effective September 29, Nash will be responsible for developing and leading sales and product marketing strategy as well as dealer relations, with a focus on building momentum for a refreshed lineup of Volkswagen vehicles and dedicated dealer body.

Nash brings extensive automotive experience to Volkswagen, spending more than a decade at Mazda North American Operations leading the brand to significant sales growth while overseeing the dealer network and introducing digital-first retail strategies.
Prior to Mazda, he began his automotive career on the retail side of the business, working within dealer groups before transitioning to an OEM. His expertise in delivering measurable results in competitive environments will be instrumental in dealer collaboration and serving consumers.
Rachael Zaluzec, Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing and Customer Experience, VW Brand NAR, and the team she leads, will now report directly to President & CEO Kjell Gruner, while continuing to maintain a close connection with and provide essential support to Brian’s leadership team. In this strategic realignment, Rachael will be responsible for brand strategy in the U.S., driving an enhanced focus on brand marketing, strategic partnerships, and most importantly – our customers. She and her team will continue to have operational responsibility for driving results throughout the customer lifecycle, aligned to the goals of growth and loyalty in the North American Region.
